HC Deb 26 November 1945 vol 416 cc1024-5W
Mr. Henderson Stewart

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he is now able to state what numbers of motor fishing vessels are likely to be released by the Admiralty for use by fishermen; and when the first of these boats is expected to be available.

Mr. T. Williams

I am afraid that I cannot add anything to the replies given to the hon. Member and to the hon. Member for Orpington (Sir W. Smithers) by the First Lord of the Admiralty on 14th November last. The whole question of the availability of these vessels is under the closest discussion between the Fisheries Departments and the Admiralty, and a further meeting has been arranged for this week.
