§ Mr. IsaacsI have been asked to reply. The numbers of operatives in employment on cotton spinning and weaving are estimated as follows: June, 1938, 260,300; June, 1945, 202,000; September, 1945, 203,800. The figures relate to men aged 14 to 64, and women aged 14 to 59.
