HC Deb 26 November 1945 vol 416 c1048W
Sir T. Moore

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether His Majesty's Government have been informed of the intention of the Government of U.S.A. to send an educative and training mission to China; and whether His Majesty's Government were invited to participate.

Mr. Noel-Baker

No, Sir, His Majesty's Government have heard of no proposal for an educational and training mission to be sent by the Government of the United States to China. I understand, however, that the Chinese Government have asked the United States to send them a military mission. I believe that no decision to send such a mission has yet been made and, in any case, His Majesty's Government have not been invited to take part.
