HC Deb 20 November 1945 vol 416 c405W
Major Cooper-Key

asked the Minister of Food if he is aware of the shortages of groceries, especially soap, vinegar, biscuits, cornflour and custard powder, in Hastings and St. Leonards; and if he will take steps to secure for this area a more equitable share of the country's supplies.

Sir B. Smith

The inquiries I have made do not support the suggestion that Hastings and St. Leonards are not receiving their fair share of supplies and the answer to the second part of the Question is therefore, "No, Sir."
