§ Lieut.-Colonel Thorpasked the Minister of Health if he will give direction and guidance to local authorities to whom powers of requisitioning unoccupied houses have been delegated, to ensure that such powers are used only against owners and occupiers who leave their properties empty for unreasonably long periods.
§ Mr. BevanI do not know what the hon. Member would regard as an unreasonably long period for a house to be allowed to remain unoccupied in present circumstances, but if he has any specific case in mind I should be willing to look into it.
