asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation what assistance is being extended by his Ministry to putting Sollas airfield in the Isle of North Uist into operational condition, in view of the inconvenience caused by the present discontinuation of services to and from the mainland.

Technical advice on operational matters has already been given by my Department to the present licensee of Sollas aerodrome. I am arranging for an engineering report to be number of passengers carried by Transport Command; the number of accidents; and the number of passengers and aircrew killed and injured.
