asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will give an assurance that the East African Indian Congress and other representative Indian bodies will have full opportunity to make representations and will be consulted before any constitutional changes are effected in East Africa.

Yes, Sir. My hon. Friend may be assured that, in the event of constitutional changes being proposed in East Africa, all interested parties and groups would have an opportunity of expressing their views.
