Mr. Manningasked the Minister of Health if he has considered the letter of the Camberwell Metropolitan Borough Council, of 29th October last, as to Circular 183/45; and if he will issue a modification of this circular, which is at present unworkable.
§ Mr. Skinnardasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that under the provisions of his recent Circular 183/45, many thousands of bombed-out families now accommodated in requisitioned houses will be called upon to pay greatly increased rents; and if he will reconsider this circular.
§ Mr. BevanLocal authorities have been authorised to take account of any serious hardship, and I have no doubt that they will do so by adjusting the charges where this is desirable.
