§ Mr. Gallacherasked the Secretary of State for War the present status of the army of resistance in Malaya which co-operated with British forces in the war against Japan; and whether, pending a decision as to its future, he will give an assurance that its officers and men will continue to draw pay in addition to rations.
§ Mr. LawsonVarious guerilla organisations have been operating in Malaya under S.E.A.C. As regular forces reoccupy the country most of these men will return to civil life. I have no detailed information as to the present arrangements but am making inquiries.
