Mr. N. Smithasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is now able to announce a remission in the sentence of four years' penal servitude imposed on 14568413 Private R. Boardman, York and Lancaster Regiment, charged with desertion after a few hours' absence without leave from his unit on the Italian front in 1944.
§ Mr. LawsonPrivate Boardman's case will be reviewed shortly in the overseas command, and I will inform my hon. Friend of the result of such review as soon as it is known.
