§ Mr. Garry Allighanasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that there are several empty houses attached to the coastguard station at Grain, Kent, which are retained by his Department; and whether he will release these for local civilian housing.
§ Mr. LawsonThese are War Department owned married quarters. Two are occupied and the remainder are earmarked for occupation by the families of Regular soldiers. I cannot release them, but I can assure my hon. Friend that they will be used for housing.
