§ Mr. Warbeyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he proposes to introduce legislation to amend the Sunday Entertainments Act, 1932, in order to make it possible for properly conducted variety entertainments, the proceeds of which are devoted to charitable objects, to be held on Sundays.
§ Mr. EdeWhatever may be the arguments for some amendment of the law this is not a subject on which I can hold out hope of legislation at the present time.
