§ Mr. Nieldasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware of the desire on the part of the people of New Zealand to send food parcels to the United Kingdom of a weight greater than the 5 lbs. including packing now permitted; and if he will consider allowing food parcels of such greater weight to be sent by post.
§ Mr. Ellis SmithHis Majesty's Government are aware that in New Zealand, as well as in other parts of the Common- 765W wealth, there is evidence of a generous desire to send to the United Kingdom larger gift parcels than the regulations in force here at present allow. The question whether the limit of weight should be increased is being urgently considered.
