§ Mr. Cocksasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has now received a report from the right hon. Member for Stockton-on-Tees (Mr. H. Macmillian), regarding the proposal that there should be set up in Greece a provisional advisory council, representative of all parties, to assist the administration in the task of reconciliation and reconstruction and to prepare for the General Election.
§ Mr. EdenReference to the desirability of such a council was made in Athens by my right hon. Friend some weeks ago. This is clearly a matter which the Greek Government and the Greek political leaders must decide for themselves, and unless general agreement is reached I do not feel that the formation of such a council would assist in the task of reconciliation and reconstruction in Greece.
