§ Mr. G. Straussasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he can state the number of herds that have been continuously on the register of attested herds during the last five years; and in how many of these herds has there been no reactor to the tuberculin test within this period.
Mr. HudsonI cannot give the precise information asked for without further detailed examination of the records, but perhaps it will be sufficient for the hon. Member's purpose to say that 3,187 herds in England and Wales have been continuously on the Register of Attested Herds from 31st December, 1938, to the end of 1944, and that in 2,053 of these no reactor to the tuberculin test has been recorded during that period.
