§ Flight-Lieutenant Challenasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware of the annoyance caused to British and American subjects by the charging of small sums of money by way of Customs Duty and Purchase Tax on personal gift parcels sent from America to this country; and, in view of small revenue resulting and the damage to Anglo-American good will, whether he will arrange to waive the duty on parcels the value of which does not exceed £1 or £2.
