GriggTravel to the Channel Islands depends on the capacity of the Islands under present conditions to accept temporary additions to the population, and the capacity of the shipping facilities available. At present the Force Commander is able to accept only those men who are on embarkation leave for the Far East, and in any case the only regular service to the Islands is by naval despatch boat, upon which accommodation is very limited.
