§ Sir J. Wardlaw-Milneasked the Secretary of State for War what arrangements are being made to meet the complaints regarding leave for men who took part in the invasion on D-day, owing to the fact that those going abroad in later months have an equal chance in the leave ballot.
Sir J. GriģģI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave my hon. Friend the Member for North Tottenham (Mr. R. C. Morrison) on 3oth January. 21 Army Group have recently once more given this question very careful consideration and subject to overriding operational requirements the allotment of places for leave will be loaded in favour of the men who landed in France in June and July.
§ Mr. G. Hutchinsonasked the Secretary of State for War whether it is anticipated that all troops now serving in the B.L.A., who have been abroad since last June, will have had a period of leave in this country before the end of March.
Sir J. GriģģNo, Sir, but I hope it will be possible for all those who landed in June to have completed their leave by the end of April.
