§ Mr. G. Straussasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will inquire into the basis on- which the inhabitants of Coletown, Waterloo, in Sierra Leone, are being offered compensation for the expropriation of their lands, buildings and trees for the construction of an aerodrome, with a view to satisfying himself that the proposed basis for compensation is adequate; and what complaints he has so far received on this subject.
§ Colonel StanleyI have received no communication on this subject from the Governor, but I have just received a copy of a petition regarding their land addressed to the Governor of Sierra Leone by the inhabitants of Coletown. I am asking the Governor for a report.
