HC Deb 13 March 1945 vol 409 c43W
Mr. Collindridģe

asked the Secretary of State for War if it is the Government intention when Class W Reserve personnel are finally demobilised to grant such men the same conditions in benefit of 56 days' leave with pay and clothing allowances as other sections of the Forces.

Sir J. Griģģ

Men who have been relegated to Class W Reserve before the release scheme starts and who are not recalled to the Colours will not be eligible for 56 days' leave with pay. In most cases they will have had an outfit of civilian clothes (or an allowance in lieu) but arrangements have been made whereby men transferred to the Reserve since 16th October may elect to get their outfit later.
