§ Mr. Spearmanasked the Minister of Health what progress is being made by the committee appointed by the Medical Research Council to investigate problems connected with the manufacture of hearing aids, in view of the fact that the only appliances now available are beyond the means of many deaf persons.
§ Mr. AttleeI cannot add anything to the reply which I gave to the right hon. Member for Chorley (Sir D. Hacking) on 17th January, except that in their investigations aimed at the design of an improved hearing-aid the Committee have in mind the need for an apparatus capable of production at a reasonable cost.
