§ Rear-Admiral Beamishasked the Minister of Health if he will modify Memorandum 266/T so that all persons suffering from tubercular diseases may be eligible to receive maintenance allowances under the scheme and thereby put an end to the position which now exists, whereby persons in need of financial assistance and who are considered incurable, are made aware of that fact by having to receive Poor Law assistance instead of an allowance from the local authority's health department.
