§ Mr. Henderson Stewartasked the Under-Secretary of State for Scotland if it is the Government's intention to introduce legislation on the lines of the recent Report on Land Settlement in Scotland or what other steps are contemplated to meet the desires of ex-Servicemen and others to establish themselves independently on the land.
Mr. ChapmanMy Noble Friend has the Report under consideration, but I am not yet in a position to say what legislative proposals may be put forward or when it may be possible to resume land settlement operations.
