asked the President of the Board of Trade if he has noted the films made in, and distributed from, the U.S.A., distorting the character of the war in Burma, with a view to taking appropriate action when the Film Quota Act comes up for revision.

The object of the film quotas fixed under the Cinematograph Films Act, 1938, is to stimulate the production and exhibition of British films. They could not be used to control the subject matter of imported films.
