§ Sir J. GriggUnit censorship, by which soldiers' letters are censored by their own officers, has been suspended, but in the interests of military security, for example, to prevent leakage of information about troop movements towards the Far East, it is necessary to maintain the test censorship at the base. The number of men engaged in base censorship is directly related to the number of troops in the area, and I regret therefore that I cannot give the hon. and learned Member these figures.
