§ Sir A. Knoxasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the policy of the Government regarding enemy aliens who have been detained under Regulation 18b; and whether these individuals will be returned to Germany as soon as convenient.
§ Sir D. SomervellEnemy aliens were not ordinarily detained under Defence Regulation 18b, but were interned under the Royal Prerogative. Of those who were still interned at the end of European hostilities a number have already been repatriated and others will be repatriated as soon as conditions permit.
