The Attorney-GeneralUntil I have had an opportunity of considering in detail the evidence to be called in any particular case, I could not give an unqualified undertaking of this nature. I can, however, assure the hon. Member that no such application will be made on behalf of the Crown unless serious security considerations are involved, and that all concerned will have in mind the recent ruling of the Court of Appeal that these applications should not be made or granted save for the most solid reasons.
