§ Mr. E. Granvilleasked the Minister of Education if he is aware that there is no transport available for the children of Thorpeness, Suffolk, to travel to Aldringham School nearly three miles away; and if he will remedy this in the near future.
§ Mr. LawI am aware that the local education authority do not provide free transport for children from Thorpeness to Aldringham school, but I understand that no requests for such transport have been made by the parents of those children under eight years of age who live more than two miles from the school. There is, therefore, at present no occasion for me to give directions in this matter in anticipation of any directions that may be shown to be necessary when the arrangements for the free transport of pupils contained in the authority's development plan come to be examined.
