§ LORD BARNBYasked His Majesty's Government whether to facilitate Anglo-American trade and industrial development in Great Britain, it is possible to speed up air mail communication from Great Britain to the United States of America, instituting if necessary a surcharge priority for commercial communication accredited by the Board of Trade or the Department of Overseas Trade.
§ EARL FORTESCUEApart from censorship, delays in transmission times across the Atlantic have been due to the adverse weather conditions obtaining in winter as well as to restrictions on aircraft capacity. I am glad to say that adequate aircraft capacity has recently been available, and with summer flying conditions and cessation of censorship I anticipate a marked improvement in transmission times for air mail.
