Major Lloyd GeorgThe proportion of mines in South Wales and Monmouthshire employing 30 or more men where miners have to walk over one mile from the pit bottom to the working place is 24.3 per cent., but at some of these mines man-riding facilities are provided for some of such working places. As regards the last part of the Question, it is not the practice to give information relating to individual collieries.
