§ Mr. H. Lawsonasked the Secretary of State for War if he is yet in a position to state approximately what percentage of British Army personnel serving overseas have so far applied to have ballot papers sent to them by post at the General Election.
§ Sir J. GriggBy 31st May about 27 per cent, of those Army officers and men on the Service Register had applied to vote by post. Three weeks then remained for further applications to be made. A further return on the progress of the scheme is due on 15th June. Those who did not apply to vote by post may, of course, register their vote through any proxies they have appointed.
