asked His Majesty's Government whether they can state the number of officers and men in the Army killed in Europe since the date of the first Quebec Conference, and the number of officers and men of the Royal Air Force killed or presumed killed in Europe during the same period; and further the number of officers and men of Bomber Command killed or presumed killed in the same period.

The number of fatal casualties in Europe suffered by Armed Forces of the United Kingdom as reported between August 1, 1943, and April 3o, 1945, was:—

Army 56,552
Royal Air Force 20,336
Of this total number of fatal casualties suffered by the Royal Air Force, 13,350 were officers and airmen of Bomber Command.
