§ Sir G. CourthopeSales of timber are controlled by orders issued by the Ministry of Supply. Subject to these orders, with which the Commissioners conform, timber is disposed of in various ways. By far the greatest quantity is sold to the Ministry of Supply or to timber merchants and others approved by the Ministry. Local sales, usually of small material such as fencing stakes, are made through dealers or direct to consumers.
