§ Mr. Shinwellasked the Minister of Works if he is aware that repairs are being undertaken in a dance hall over the Wimbledon Town Hall; and why priority has been given in this case in view of the large amount of repairs to domestic dwellings still required.
§ Mr. SandysThis work was carried out by the Wimbledon Borough Council in exercise of the discretion which is left to local authorities in regard to repairs to their own premises. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Health is having inquiries made into the circumstances of this particular case and will communicate with the hon. Member.
