HC Deb 20 February 1945 vol 408 c652W
Mrs. Keir

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider allowing private individual parcels to be sent to France through recognised channels which will ensure fair distribution in the most needed quarters.

Mr. Grimston

My right hon. Friend hopes to be able shortly to allow a substantial increase in weight for letter packets sent to France; but I cannot say when the Parcel Post is likely to be restored. The question of equitable distribution in France of goods sent from this country is not of course a matter for my Department.
