HC Deb 20 February 1945 vol 408 c643W
Mr. Bellenger

asked the Minister of Supply whether he is aware that officers have difficulty in obtaining Orilux torches which are in considerable demand; and whether he can take any steps to facilitate supplies of these torches.

Mr. Dalton

I have been asked to reply. Owing to limited production facilities, I regret that I am unable at present to license the manufacture of Orilux and other torches which are not of a standard type and which require a special battery. But I understand from my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for War that satisfactory torches of a standard pattern are issued to officers when it is considered necesssary.
