§ Mr. Bellengerasked the Minister of Supply whether he is aware that officers have difficulty in obtaining Orilux torches which are in considerable demand; and whether he can take any steps to facilitate supplies of these torches.
§ Mr. DaltonI have been asked to reply. Owing to limited production facilities, I regret that I am unable at present to license the manufacture of Orilux and other torches which are not of a standard type and which require a special battery. But I understand from my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for War that satisfactory torches of a standard pattern are issued to officers when it is considered necesssary.
