§ Mr. Harveyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the price to be paid for the sugar crop of Mauritius for 1944, the whole of which is requisitioned by the Government, has yet been fixed; and whether he will endeavour to secure a higher price for the growers, in view of the economic condition of the island and the profit now accruing from the disposal of the requisitioned crop.
