§ Mr. M. MacMillanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland when it is intended to publish the full proposals for improvement of teachers' salaries and conditions in Scotland.
Mr. JohnstonI have asked the National Joint Council, representative of education authorities and the teaching profession in Scotland, to prepare for my consideration revised scales of salaries for teachers. The Council are now engaged in this task, and I hope to receive their recommendations in the near future.
