HC Deb 02 February 1945 vol 407 cc1749-50W
Mr. Ness Edwards

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the experience of a Bedlinog man in getting the post-war tax credits that had been willed to him transferred to his name, he having been separately interviewed by 11 clerks and referred from one Cardiff tax office to another and on to a third office, will he take the necessary steps to make known the correct procedure to effect such transfer.

Sir J. Anderson

The procedure to be adopted in order to effect a transfer of post-war credit in a case of this nature was explained in a reply given by my predecessor to the hon. Member for Holborn (Sir R. Tasker) on 13th April, 1943 [HANSARD, Vol. 388, c. 1077]. I am sending a copy of that reply to my hon. Friend.
