§ Colonel Ropnerasked the Lord President of the Council whether arrangements 1651W can be made for the Industrial Health Research Board to carry out an exhaustive survey of the nutrition and health of British coalminers in the light of recent scientific discoveries in those fields.
§ Mr. AttleeClinical and scientific inquiries into the health and nutritional state of miners have been and will continue to be made. I am taking up with the various interested Departments the question whether a more general survey would be helpful, and if so by what agency it could best be conducted. If my hon. and gallant Friend has any particular discovery in mind perhaps he will let me know.
