§ Mr. T. Reidasked the President of the Board of Trade if he willaccede to the request of the Swindon Trades Council to the effect that supplies of paper adequate for the publication of schoolbooks should be made available in preference to supplies of paper used in the making of fancy goods.
§ Sir S. CrippsThe allocation of paper for books has been increased, and additional quantities will be made available as opportunity arises. I do not think I should be justified in refusing to allow the manufacture of fancy goods of paper to be resumed on a modest scale.
