§ Mr. Jannerasked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that the delay in obtaining repairs to ophthalmic optical appliances is now extended to five months in many parts of the country, thus causing great inconvenience to those whose work is handicapped by bad eyesight; that one firm making such appliances and employing 300 men recently had 59 of them called up; and whether, in these circumstances, he will take steps either to limit the call-up of men from the optical industry or to take such other steps as are necessary to provide the industry with no less labour than it has had during recent years.
