§ Wing-Commander R. Robinsonasked the Minister of Works whether, in view of the recent decision of the War Office to derequisition 1,509 hotels and boarding houses, 52 holiday camps and 131 restaurants, he will give an assurance hat every facility will be given by way of licences and priorities for materials and labour to enable these establishments to be restored to proper conditions before the commencement of the holiday season of 1946.
§ Mr. TomlinsonI regret that the urgency of competing demands for houses, industrial buildings which will 347W contribute to the supply of goods for the home and export markets, and other building work required in the national interest prevents my giving the assurance for which the hon. and gallant Member asks, but within the limits of the available labour and materials, I will do everything possible to facilitate this work.
