HC Deb 11 December 1945 vol 417 c368W
Mr. McAllister

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is now in a position to state the arrangements which have been made regarding the payment of compensation to the tenants of the emergency houses at Westburn, Cambuslang, Blantyre, and other parts of Lanarkshire.

Mr. Buchanan

My right hon. Friend has appointed independent valuers to consider these compensation claims, and he hopes that the investigation into the Lanarkshire claims, which began yesterday, will be completed at an early date.
