§ Sir I. Fraserasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if he will cause a full inquiry to be made into the present position of ex-Service civil servants in order to assure himself that the years lost through their war service in 1914–18, or the fact that they entered the Civil 371W Service a few years after the normal age, or other circumstances, have not stood in the way of a fair share of promotion.
