HC Deb 11 December 1945 vol 417 c341W
Lieut.-Commander Clark Hutchison

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the disquiet aroused by the recent fatal accident to three Edinburgh boys on the Pentland Hills, he will cause the findings of the military court of inquiry to be made public.

Mr. Lawson

This regrettable incident, which occurred on a field firing range, is the subject of an inquiry by the appropriate civil authority, as well as a military court of inquiry held in the Scottish Command. I have not yet received a copy of the proceedings of the latter court, and cannot judge whether they will furnish any information additional to that brought out at the civil inquiry. I will make a further statement if necessary when the investigation is complete.
