§ Sir S. Reedasked the Assistant Post master-General whether the attention of his department has been drawn to the increasing difficulty of maintaining branch sub-post offices in the rural areas and the efficient delivery of letters owing to the standard of remuneration which is practised; and what steps he is taking.
§ Mr. BurkeI am not aware of any general difficulty arising from the cause suggested. The question of the remuneration of sub-postmasters is, however, at present under review in consultation with the National Federation of Sub-Post masters.
