§ Mr. Peter Freemanasked the Minister of Labour the number of unemployed in the Borough of Newport.
§ Mr. IsaacsAt 16th July the number of unemployed persons on the registers of Employment Exchanges at Newport (Mon.) was 217, including 95 men aged 18 years and over, 20 boys under 18 years, 69 women aged 18 years and over, and 33 girls under 18 years. These figures exclude 50 men who had been classified as unsuitable for ordinary industrial employment.
