§ Mr. DaltonSection 80 of the Act of 1943 enables the Treasury, if net receipts fall short of half the expected payments, to increase the number of instalments. Such a shortage will certainly occur, but I have decided not to take action under Section 80. The instalment which fell due on the 1st July will therefore be the last to be exacted.
