HC Deb 23 August 1945 vol 413 c854W
Major Beamish

asked the Secretary of State for War whether Territorials who were granted commissions, other than Territorial Army commissions, during the war, can count their commissioned service towards the grant of the T.D.; and, if not, why not.

Mr. Bellenger

I assume the hon. and gallant Member refers to Territorial warrant officers, non-commissioned officers and men who were granted non-Territorial commissions during the war, thereby ceasing to count service for the Territorial Efficiency Medal. The rules for the grant of the medal exclude such service, but the position of these officers is under consideration. The territorial decoration is restricted to officers of the Territorial Army or other auxiliary Forces of the Empire.
